Leveraging Digital: Salesforce

In this week’s Leveraging Digital blog, we’re discussing arguably the world’s leading customer relationship management (CRM) software, Salesforce. Here at Wolfgang we use Salesforce Professional, a paid for version of Salesforce coming in at just under $600 monthly. With a team of eight, Salesforce provides innumerable services tailored to each Wolfgang employee role. Sales & Project Managers use Salesforce to track opportunities and wins and loses from each and for scheduling follow up for project close dates through their personalized sales funnel. More importantly Sales & Project Managers are able to provide outstanding customer service by tracking contact with customers; Managers can easily send over a happy birthday message, a congratulatory note or drop by with lattes when required. To the Wolfpack, relationship selling is key; as Zig Zigla quoted, “If people like you they will listen to you, but if they trust you, they’ll do business with you.” We build trusting mutually beneficial relationships with our customers here at Wolfgang and Salesforce helps! Although Wolfgang’s Sales & Project Managers work independently Salesforce provides a venue for communication, for sharing and  for ensuring customer relationship maintain as a key priority.

As for billing and invoices, both receivables and payables are coordinated through Salesforce (along with QuickBooks) in addition to receiving valuable survey feedback. Marketing tactics can be measured and compared for return on investment. Salesforce makes it far easier to analyze any given marketing tactic success and spend per qualified opportunity. Plus you can create a number of reports making you look like a data mastermind!

Overall the Salesforce interface is simple to use and to customize. Results are in real time for judging performance, easily accessible even when using a mobile device. Dashboards provide a snapshot of detailed dealings from within the CRM, plus, nearly every metric is comparable. For example users can instantly compare revenue, opportunities, new customers to the previous period or goal for the period. Moreover, the downloadable applications are endless. The AppExchange features tools to marry and excel Salesforce results with MailChimp, Adobe eSign, LinkedIn, Eventbrite, Evernote, Outlook and many, many more. Approximately 45% of the AppExchange apps are free of charge. Users can also integrate popular social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ to Salesforce viewing mentions and engagement straight from the site. For the Wolfpack, Salesforce most suites sales and marketing professionals simultaneously building on opportunities and gauging marketing campaign success.

Here’s hoping our Salesforce review was helpful. Please contact us should you wish to discuss more!
