This week gave us two prime examples of resilience: the Bruins improbable third period comeback against the Leafs and the BC Liberals unbelievable majority win. Both cases exemplify the emotional control required to perceiver, finish strong and to get the job done. A great lesson for business and life.
The Bruins relied on experience and confidence, knowing they could comeback, the saw blood and relentlessly attacked. They did what it took to reach their goal.
Christy Clark, never gave up, she refused to listen to the pollsters and her own party members who were throwing in the towel. Clark put the party on her shoulders and carried them to victory. Regardless of your political bent, you can’t deny Clarks hard work and determination.
Cynics will view the Leafs loss and the NDP defeat as an “epic fail”. No way, there were two teams on the ice and two parties duking it out in the election. The Bruins and Clark won. Both remind us of what can be accomplished with resilience.
