Hiring is hard!

My Sales Manager just completed his grueling three-month search for our two new sales reps. Scott and Aaron start on Monday. Welcome to the Wolfgang Team!

Our search included the resources of all the online sites, two recruiting firms and our network. In all, we generated eighty applicants. Imagine that, eighty applicants to two hires? Holy HR, Batman!

A bad hire costs time and money (at least three times what you are paying, once you factor wasted time, the on-boarding process, expenses, severance, etc . . .) not to mention the damage a rotten apple wreaks on your culture. So yes, we are extremely picky.

Here’s the problem: allowing “B” or heaven forbid “C” players on the team, frustrates and demoralizes your “A” players. Misfire on a hire and risk losing your top talent. Yikes!

So, here is to your high standards Heinrich. The entire team thanks you. Let the training begin.
