The Kaboom Box

The Kaboom Box is one of the street cart food places I have wanted to try since the city has become over run by them.  Not quite sure why it has taken me so long to get around to eating there. It is at Granville and Robson right out front of the sears entrance.

It was a beautiful/typical fall day in Vancouver (read: pouring down rain and cold) when we went to the Kaboom Box.  However luckily (unlike our trip to Japadog with the same weather) The Kaboom Box has a nice large covered area right in front of it for us to eat under and shiver but stay dry.

The Kaboom Box boasts “Serving the Best of BC” and I can’t say they lie. I had their Oyster PoBoy and I though it was fantastic.  Really though, deep fry some sea food and you really can’t go wrong for me. The different items that we ended up eating  there were the fish and chips (with poutine) and the oyster poboy.   Dave had some hang up about a sea food allergy so he ate a chicken Caesar salad from the Cafe Crepe across the street.

Ratings are as follows:

Heinrich: 8/10
Erin: 9/10
Graham: 8/10
Ernesto 9/10
Dave: “Cannot comment on seafood death”
